Guillaume Malafosse
From father to son, the art of wine making had been passed on within the Malafosse family for 4 generations with Guillaume taking over the family business in 1997.
The winemaker of great passion and dedication, he is constantly perfecting his wines, while staying true to the ancient tradition.

Our Estate
In the heart of Occitanie
Within a 30-minute drive from Carcassonne you will find Château Belvèze, a wine-producing estate in the heart of the Malepère AOC region.
The estate covers 150 hectares including 40 hectares of vineyards of Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon grape varieties.
The grapes are grown in clay-rich soil on mostly south-facing hillsides of Malepère area.

The Winery
Our Winery is located opposite the entrance to the Castle; it dates from 1880 and parts of it are dug directly into the rock, which provides natural ventilation.
The harvested grapes are placed into large vats made of concrete; the Malepère AOC wines are aged in oak barrels for 12 months.

Throughout the year - give us a call, we are never far away.
In the Summer months we are open:
Monday to Saturday: 10:00am - 12:30pm / 4:00pm - 7:00pm
Outside these hours, do not hesitate to give us a call.
